New Venture Joins Large Assisted Living Provider with Company Marking First Foray into Senior Living

The fifth generation of the Fogg family, Oregon’s largest assisted living provider, has partnered on a new venture with the Giustina family, which operates one of Oregon’s oldest timber companies, on Marquis Eugene. The project marks the first foray into senior living for the Giustinas, who are leasing land to Marquis for the project.

According to Giustina Land & Timber Co. Operating Manager Mark Giustina, the company has been approached before with proposals for the 12-acre orchard.

“We were looking for a long-term partner with similar goals to bring a high-quality addition to our community,”  he said.

None of the proposals fit the bill until the Foggs came along with an idea to design a neighborhood rife with amenities that can be enjoyed by residents and non-residents alike, such as a community center with a restaurant, coffee shop, theater and event-sized auditorium. Residents and members of the general public will be able to enjoy on-site concerts, movies, plays, educational symposiums as well as off-site events.
