This is the reason I've been a part of Marquis/Consonus for 18+ years......great people + great leadership = great company!!
These people will murder your loved ones. Do not put them in here. I put my mother in here in November 2020 and from day one she has been in peril. She had a hip replacement done 6 years prior and a fall and fracture in 2020, yet they carted her around in a broken wheelchair, spread eagle, in insubstantial clothing, not hers, in December weather to a Dr. McDonald's fast food office for a quick in and out with exorbitant charges, with NO MASK on in the height of Covid-19 lock downs with people being beaten out of stores and off airplanes for the same reasons. Yet this is a 'health care' facility. In the middle of construction with dry wall dust permeating the air. I spoke to every one, even Dr. Patricia Nay, who is in charge of the Office of Health Care Quality for Maryland Nursing Care Abuse Response Unit, Montgomery County, who had her General Secretary, Heather Reed, contact me. The gist of the conversation was, in March of 2020 they were cited for numerous offenses by field surveyors which amounted to a $270,000 dollar fine. There is no protection for the elderly who are abused in this facility unless they show outward wounds, abrasions or broken bones. Residents are deliberately exposed to respiratory risk due to dry wall dust and covid-19 permeating the air in there, even while dozen die around them on in the same room, and they get no mercy or remorse until they are dead. Their only way of accepting proof of abuse even though 78 reported deaths have been in Montgomery County Maryland and 40 have been at Collingswood. They could be barred for 2 years from operating training programs for nurses aids due to failing to properly isolating potentially contagious residents including new admissions This is because MD State Health surveyors reported they do not have an effective plan to adequately isolate new residents or symptomatic residents, even tough Federal guidance on the importance of doing so had been released 3 months prior to the fines in 2020. News Team 4 did an expose' on them recently for health violations during Covid-19 and The Washington Post wrote the article citing their head Administrator Jay Onyenemezu, appealing the $270,000 fine when she said, "The facility is committed to the effective care of our residents as well as compliance with all applicable regulator requirements." which is a bald face lie because each and every time I came to visit my 92 year old mother, she was in insubstantial clothing without a mask on. www.washingtonpost.com/local/maryland-nursing-home-fines/2020/08/26/8da892a4-e719-11ea-970a-64c73... Even on the phone mother's voice did not sound like those, muffled by wearing a mask. They are compromising her respiratory system and will kill her if this is not interrupted. Which no one seems to have the power, the desire, the spine, the will, nor ability to do and I cannot afford to move her, yet have appealed to everyone including the State Governor, the State Senator, The Montgomery County States Attorney's Office, The Office of Health Care Quality for Maryland Nursing Care, Abuse Response Unit, santa claus and the easter bunny. I even asked the Police if this is not a crime and they do not have enforceable laws on the books until November of 2021, so their hands are tied. Nothing can be done until they Murder her. Then, it will be lamentable. I am too poor and had my home stolen during the Mortgage Fraud Crisis cited in the docudrama 'The Big Short', by the 5 major banks who got fined 150 Million dollars then bailed out with 70 Billion of our dollar bills. So I was doing this while homeless, trying to recover from major financial collapse. Yes, believe our reviews. These people will murder residents while collecting money, rotating staff faster than a merry go round and the ineptitude of the staff in residents of the which 3 have died due to Covid-19 reports by HHS of Montgomery County which is, of this communique, been disbanded. Good riddance. They were liars and useless as well.
