To say Lorena Curtis, campus activity director at Marquis Piedmont, is passionate about her residents and coworkers is a huge understatement.
Months ago, a Marquis Piedmont resident, Barbara, asked to go to the beach with Lorena and her fellow coworker, Autumn. Unfortunately, Autumn passed away before they were able to accomplish this.
However, after attending Autumn's celebration of life, they made the trip down to the beach as a beautiful tribute to their beloved friend; the perfect way to honor her memory. They enjoyed a walk on the beach, a helicopter ride, some delicious bites, and watching the waves.

Claudia, a resident of Marquis Forest Grove, originally learned how to skate at Lloyd Center Ice Rink as a small child. Dressed in a pink skirt, she would fly around the rink at high speeds feeling like an Ice Princess.
These fond memories were recently relived by Claudia thanks to our intern, Hannah, who coordinated a New Chapter experience, complete with Claudia’s family, friends, and even a pink skirt.
While skating around the rink, Claudia even asked to go faster so she could feel the wind in her hair.
Check out the joyful photos below from this great New Chapter.
