Anthony Vicari Named Runner Up For Nevada Health Care Association Award

Marquis Employee's Application Ranked Second in State Overall

LAS VEGAS, Nev.- August 30, 2010 - Marquis Companies, a skilled nursing, assisted living and home health care company, is proud to announce the recent achievement of valued employee Anthony Vicari. Anthony has worked for many years at Marquis' Marquis Care Plaza Regency, as the assistant activity director up until his recent promotion to the lead role of activity direct at Marquis' newest property, Marquis Care at Centennial Hills. The Crystal Award is given to an employee who is an inspiration to residents, family members, fellow employees and the long term care image.

"Anthony is a wonderful asset to the activities department at Marquis and has an amazing spirit that enhances the lives of every resident and staff member he comes in contact with. While working at Marquis Care Plaza Regency, Anthony presented several Eden principles to our department head team and has left us all wanting more information and thinking about how we can implement Eden within our building," comments Erin Sprando, Administrator at Marquis Care Plaza Regency.

The Eden Alternative project aims to offer elders a warm and home-like environment that minimizes the sterile, institutional atmosphere of most traditional nursing homes. In an Eden Alternative nursing home, the residents are given more privacy and more control over their lives, a principal that Anthony believes in whole-heartedly.

Tony was also a speaker at the 2010 National Activity Director's Conference where he presented on a bedside activity program for which he received rave reviews from several colleagues in the field of senior care.
