Marquis Companies was formed in June of 1989 by Phil Fogg, Jr. with the acquisition of the first post acute rehab facility, Columbia Manor. Prior to acquisition, Columbia Manor was a facility with a history of problems. Mr. Fogg promptly renovated the building, worked with the staff to enhance the quality of care and, as a result of these changes, the reputation and success of the facility improved dramatically.
As Columbia Manor continued to show improvement, Marquis expanded to acquire additional facilities. As of December 1, 2006, we manage 19 Post Acute Care & Rehab Facilities throughout Oregon, Idaho, Nevada and California.
In August of 1996, Marquis developed and opened our first Assisted Living Facility, Marquis Vintage Suites in Forest Grove, Oregon. Marquis currently operates six Assisted Living Facilities in Oregon.
Because Marquis' initial growth strategies focused on successfully turning around troubled facilities, the company was able to quickly develop an outstanding reputation as one of the premier long-term care organizations in the state of Oregon. We continue to enjoy a strong reputation as an innovative leader in Long Term Care in the Northwest.
In 1996, Marquis expanded into additional long term care services by purchasing Adams & Gray, the largest home care agency in the state of Oregon. Adams & Gray Home Care offers homemaking, personal care aides, live-in companionship and RN case management to seniors and their families. Today, Adams & Gray is part of Marquis at Home which consists of Home Health services in Portland and Home Care/Home Health services throughout the Willamette Valley.
Five months after the acquisition of Adams & Gray, Inc., Marquis purchased Rehab Specialists, Inc. (RSI), a provider of contract physical, occupational and speech-language pathology rehabilitation services. At the time, RSI had 16 contracts (including the Marquis facilities) in Oregon and Washington. RSI became Consonus in 2004, the same year Consonus opened its pharmacy. Consonus is now providing pharmacy and rehab services in over 150 facilities throughout the Western United States.
Marquis has a reputation for quality care, a proven track record of compliance, a highly competent staff, and financial stability. These strengths bring a level of expertise to providing quality care that is unsurpassed in our communities.
