Marquis Companies Expands Presence in Las Vegas and Opens Second Skilled Nursing Facility in Las Vegas

Two-Story, 62,000 Square Foot Marquis Care at Centennial Hills Property Taking Shape

Marquis Companies, a skilled nursing, assisted living and home health care company, is proud to announce its newest property located in North Las Vegas. Marquis Care at Centennial Hills will serve the needs of the elderly within the community who have suffered an injury or have other health related conditions which requires care that would not be practical and or feasible in their homes.  The facility will provide a wide range of personal care services including care for acute conditions such as a fracture or a stroke which require rehabilitation.

The new two-story, 62,000 square foot property is located on five acres at the southwest intersection of Centennial Drive and Fort Apache in the North Vegas Centennial Hills neighborhood. When finished, the residential skilled nursing facility will house 120 beds and incorporate many of the materials found in the southwest styles of Nevada homes. The facility will feature distinct common areas such as a lounge and activity room where residents can socialize along with a commercial sized kitchen where residents’ meals will be prepared.  Residents can enjoy daily housekeeping and linen services, 24 hour nursing and professional staffing, scheduled social activities and a full service salon. Marquis Care at Centennial Hills is scheduled for completion in July of 2010.  This new facility will join Marquis Care at Plaza Regency located off of West Cheyenne Avenue in North Las Vegas.  Marquis Care at Plaza Regency has taken pride in caring for residents of Las Vegas since December of 2007.

The Marquis Care at Centennial Hills’ staff will have the ability to provide a number of different services and rehabilitation therapies including continuous IV, wound care, diabetic management, physical, occupational, speech and respiratory therapy. This team of health professionals will be lead by a Health Care Coordinator, a registered nurse who will assess the needs of each resident to develop a specific plan for rehabilitation.

Marquis Care at Centennial Hills will generate an estimated 120 jobs for the North Las Vegas workforce.  The developer, Marquis Companies, with Phil Fogg Jr., Chairman and CEO, and Steve Fogg, CFO, are fourth-generation senior care professionals.  Each has more than 20 years experience in the senior care arena, which includes the multi-state senior housing and services company that is Marquis.

The architect for the project is Garth Brandaw, managing member of CB|2 Architects of Salem, Oregon.  Garth has more than 25 years experience in the design and development of senior care facilities.
